Beekeeping

Happy bees foraging in the Umpqua forest

Forest Trail Fare's hives were all wild honey bees that swarmed, looking for a new and bigger home.  We place bee boxes around our and our friends properties and the honey bees move in.  We only locate our hives in areas that away from residential areas and they are all wintered on our forest farm.   Forest Trail Fare does not use pesticides or any other chemicals on our forest farm and only treat our bees with natural miticides.
We love beekeeping for several reason; we understand the critical connection between healthy bee colonies and life on this planet, bees provide an essential service on our farm by pollinate our crops and honey bees are really fascinating to watch and partner with.

Have a swarm?   We provide consultation and swarm relocation services.
